Funding the physical foundations of the next culture.
The Radical Responsibility Fund supports edge-walkers and culture creators who refuse to wait for permission and are actively building the next culture in real life. We support people creating regenerative villages, physical communities, and living experiments where new ways of living, organising, relating, learning, and collaborating can be tested, developed, and embodied. We believe that new culture cannot survive only as an idea. It needs land. It needs places. It needs homes, gathering spaces, gardens, workshops, kitchens, learning environments and social infrastructure. It needs real humans with real stakes learning how to live differently together. The Radical Responsibility Fund is a tailwind for those building these prototypes. These are projects creating physical regenerative villages and communities: places where people are not simply talking about alternatives to extractive and hierarchical systems, but actively inventing and practising them. These are living laboratories for cultural evolution. Places where people can experiment with new forms of governance, education, family, community, relationship, economics, regeneration and collaboration with Earth. At the heart of the fund is Radical Responsibility: the understanding that we are not powerless victims waiting for someone else to fix the world. We are the creators, we don't need permission and nobody is going to create the world we want to live in for us. We support projects rooted in self-authorship, accountability, agency and the willingness to be changed by the experiments they are creating. We are interested in communities that use innovative human technologies (facilitation, training, conscious feelings work, emotional literacy, ritual, initiation, coaching and other consciousness-based practices) to develop the capacity required for humans to collaborate. Because building beautiful infrastructure is not enough. The greatest infrastructure challenge is often human. How do we live together? How do we stay in relationship when things get difficult? How do we make decisions without simply recreating hierarchy? How do we raise children, steward land, share resources and create together without reproducing the systems we are trying to leave behind? The Radical Responsibility Fund exists to fertilise living experiments exploring these questions. We want to support the creation of villages that can become seeds for more villages. Prototypes that can be learned from, adapted and multiplied. Places where people can come not only to visit, but to train as regenerative village makers and carry what they learn into the creation of new communities elsewhere. We are moving toward a world of villages of villages: networks of autonomous, regenerative communities, each with its own character and culture, connected through shared learning, research and evolution. We are not looking for perfect utopias. We are looking for real experiments. Messy, courageous, alive places where people are willing to take responsibility for what they are creating and discover, through lived experience, what actually works. Our aim is not simply to imagine the next culture. It is to build places where it can exist.
This fund is for projects and teams actively creating alternative ways of living, organizing, and relating—projects that challenge inherited assumptions about work, governance, education, family, and community. We prioritize living experiments with real humans, real stakes, and a commitment to evolution, regeneration, and initiation over ideology or abstraction.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be actively creating or stewarding a community, organism, network, or initiative (online or offline).
- Operate outside traditional hierarchical or extractive models, favoring non-hierarchical, regenerative, or evolutionary structures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Radical Responsibility—self-authorship, accountability, and agency over victimhood.
- Utilize innovative “human technologies” such as facilitation, training, coaching, ritual, emotional literacy, or consciousness-based practices.
- Be oriented toward real-world impact through lived experience, not just theory or content.
- Show evidence of momentum, participation, or proof-of-community (e.g. gatherings, trainings, active members, or ongoing programs).
- Align with values of regeneration, cultural evolution, and life-affirming collaboration with Earth.
