About
An organic shape outfitted with the functionality of a familiar electronic instrument, Bertie is a sound-generating listening device that teaches its users to hear through their bodies.
Impact
Bertie calls for an inclusive and innovative way for users across the hearing spectrum to interact with sound. Those with mixed hearing loss may hear, play, and learn a new and never-before-seen instrument and listening device!
Progress
I want to build on Bertie's technology and develop an adaptable module that has the potential to enhance any acoustic musical instrument.
Team
As someone who had hearing impairments throughout childhood and who now suffers from tinnitus, I have always had trouble hearing the sounds I make.
