About
This October 2024 I will be attending a printmaking residency for one month, during which I will learn sustainable etching, aquatint and intaglio printmaking techniques, letter press, and bookbinding, in order to create an artist book of my work.
Impact
My work is about nature and has an emotional impact, connecting viewers to the environment. I plan to bring the techniques I learn back to my community in the Outaouais, Western Quebec, and teach these techniques to artists and students in the area.
Progress
So far I've raised $6800 with a gofundme campaign, have sold close to $4000 net of my work in a July art show. I've paid for my flight, residency deposit, deposits on lodging, and have funded production of sellable digital prints for a Sept show.
Team
I have a minor is printmaking from OCAD in Toronto but gave up etching because it is so toxic. For 11 years I've been the treasurer on the board of an Artist Studio coop I helped to create and am well known in my community for local art initiatives.
