About
The House is a free residency for creatives of any & every kind. It's a place where creative people are given full access for up to a month to a private & secluded house in the mountains of Portugal to work on their project in any way they see fit.
Impact
The House fills a much needed gap, giving writers, scientists, developers, filmmakers, artists, designers, (& more!) access to the time & space they need to focus on & make their work, making the world a smarter, more thoughtful, & richer place.
Progress
We've spent years dreaming of running an open & flexible residency for creatives & have narrowed down the specifics of importance to us & what we aim to achieve. We have established a system of running our program, & are almost ready to launch.
Team
We are a husband-&-wife team of filmmakers based between Canada & Portugal. We've experienced first-hand the immense value & specific qualities of going to the mountains to work on a project, & want to offer this freely to creatives worldwide.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
