Búan_fund for Nature Restoration Éire

Optimising for biodiversity | Funding land stewardship

If you are working to restore nature and optimise for biodiversity anywhere across Ireland, we want to hear from you. Búan' is grounded in empirical research, which informs stewardship agreements tailored to each property. These agreements identify the most impactful actions that can be taken—whether that’s planting native trees, managing water levels, removing invasive species, or sometimes simply letting nature take its course. We want to see hundreds of applications and create a network of biodiversity reservoirs that stretch across the country, protecting and restoring ecosystems at scale. We don't claim ownership of any land/ actions/ impact etc, nor do we infer any ownership on through tokenisation or similar mechanisms. With the landowner’s and others full consent, we may explore tokenising stewardship agreements, where agreed-upon actions are backed by the robust evidence gathered.
