About
We aim to pioneer a new line of research in coral reef restoration and resilience through acoustic technologies, using the natural sounds of healthy reefs to attract marine life, boost biodiversity, and enhance overall ecosystem recovery efforts.
Impact
Advancing coral reef restoration research by integrating non-traditional tools like sound science to send settlement cues and environmental DNA to identify species that respond to acoustic applications in degraded reef environments.
Progress
We are starting this line of research with the tools and knowledge to identify healthy reefs suitable for recording, and we can also deploy equipment at degraded sites to start monitoring key invertebrates, including corals and fish colonization.
