Supporting musicians, dancers, filmmakers, and tradition bearers whose work turns strangers into friends and audiences into communities.
For more than fifty years, Quentin Navia has built creative community the old way: live, together, night after night. As co-founder of SUKAY she carried Andean music from Carnegie Hall to Red Rocks, and for the past 27 years she and her husband, two-time Latin Grammy nominee Eddy Navia, have run Peña Pachamama, the San Francisco Legacy Business where emerging artists perform beside master musicians and, as one guest put it after stepping through the door, you enter another order of reality. This fund extends that stage to the world: backing artists who preserve cultural heritage while creating new experiences of connection across cultures and generations, because every community deserves places where beauty, imagination, and generosity flourish together.

We welcome artists, musicians, dancers, filmmakers, storytellers, educators, cultural tradition bearers, and community builders from anywhere in the world. And this fund comes with an open door: artists curated into it may be invited to perform at Peña Pachamama itself, joining a lineage of a quarter century of nights where lasting collaborations begin.
To qualify for this fund:
- Your project should demonstrate artistic excellence, community impact, and a commitment to bringing people together across cultures
- Preference goes to work that preserves traditional knowledge while inspiring contemporary creativity
- Your project should create opportunities for public participation: performance, education, film, storytelling, or cultural exchange
- Collaboration is prized: we fund work where artists inspire one another, across traditions and generations
