About
Pilar designs and creates unique, handcrafted jewelry. Coyo, a local woman, assists her in inserting and weaving the materials. The result is a collection of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, some featuring up to 16 meters of intricate weaving
Impact
It will improve the lives of Coyo´s family in Arroyo Seco, México. We pay her $13mxn/metre and we want to double it. We would offer free lakota inipis (temazcal) which would help people to be more healthy, connected to traditions, nature & people.
Progress
The project is already working and people love XochiPili ARTisan. We want to increase the quality of the materials; bigger silver chain, pure gold chain and clasp.
Team
Pilar, an artisan for over 25 years. This craft is 100% original from her. She works really hard but still cannot make a living out of her crafts. I am her partner trying to empower her and give her the economic abundance that she deserves
