About
We're making short documentary films that document the process of refugee artists and youth creating community murals, sculptures and performances, thereby preserving their culture and strengthening mental health after conflict and displacement.
Impact
This project will share the resilience and beauty of the cultures of the Rohingya, Syrians and South Sudanese with the world, and provide a platform to amplify their voices, shape their narrative and strengthen social cohesion with host communities.
Progress
Artolution has trained and employed teams of artists who fled from war zones to lead community art projects with youth in Jordan, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Uganda and more. We have established partnerships with UN agencies, NGOs and government ministries.
Team
Artolution works closely with our artist teams led by our locally-based program managers. We have access to refugee camps and host communities, and have many years of experience organizing and implementing art projects in crisis contexts globally.
