About
We're documenting the process of South Sudanese artists and youth creating community murals, sculptures and music in their refugee camp, thereby preserving their culture and strengthening mental health after their traumatic conflict and displacement.
Impact
This project will share the resilience and beauty of the South Sudanese culture with the world, and provide a platform to amplify their voices, shape their narrative and strengthen social cohesion at a time when their existence is being threatened.
Progress
Artolution has recruited and trained a team of South Sudanese and Ugandan artists who now lead community art with children for the past 6 years. We have established partnerships with UN agencies, NGOs and government ministries.
Team
Artolution works closely with our local team led by Esero Nalyong, who is our primary coordinator in the refugee camps. We have many years of experience organizing and implementing art projects in crisis contexts globally and in Uganda.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
