About
I am creating a 3D animated short musical movie. In it, I transform the letters that my aunt sent back home from her exile into songs. The film tells the story of a woman seeking happiness, her struggles and the melancholy of displacement.
Impact
The film is a place for reflection on how happiness was supposed to look like for women in the last century (be beautiful, get married, have children, have a successful career), opening the possibility to rethink social mandates of the present.
Progress
The story, songs and animations have reached its final stage of postproduction after an intense experimentation process of five years with a small crew. We need funds to complete the final renders, music recording, sound and image postproduction.
Team
In my most ambitious project so far I bring everything that builds my quirky persona and corpus of work to the table: I tell my family story based on an archive, mixing sadness and humour, with the use of 3D animation and narration through singing.
