About
A series of typographical studies that combine iconographic forms from over 50 lesser known alphabets, seeking to celebrate language diversity, raise awareness about different writing systems, and inspire conversation around cultural diversity.
Impact
Around 9 languages cease to be spoken each year. Elements of that written culture die with them. Taking forms from these alphabets, and combining them visually has helped increase the dialogue about dissapearing writing systems.
Progress
The project has established support from the Chartered Institute of Linguistics. Some base visual systems have been built in vector format. A generator has been developed taking a random letter from one of 60 languages.
Team
25 year history working with the subject matter, some key partnerships in the art / design world, established support with some representative foundations.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
