About
Humans remix information constantly. But prevailing systems (e.g. copyright) don’t represent that reality. Inspired by folk traditions, we design & support experiments that mirror our memetic ways of being & redistribute wealth from one folk to many.
Impact
By designing artifacts that highlight outdated regimes, we offer a resilient new course for creators and communities. Bob Dylan copyrighted folk canon music & sold his catalog for $600M. FOLK experiments return the canon its due.
Progress
We wrote a manifesto & minted a Dylan cover, wrestling w/ legacy concepts of ownership & the legal murk of web3. Funds were split w/ Dylan & aligned partners. We’re now exploring how Herberger taxes can pair w/ music to deconcentrate private wealth.
