About
We are turning TerraScope, our open source robotic microscope, into a reproducible assembly kit and biotic game console, transforming microbial observations into game elements that feed community storytelling.
Impact
A reproducible TerraScope kit can make microbial exploration accessible beyond laboratories and universities. By enabling local communities to build and operate their own instruments, we can create citizen science nodes that generate local knowledge
Progress
We have designed and built a working TerraScope prototype and tested its ability to capture and explore microbial life. We have also developed the open software and infrastructure around the instrument. The next step is to refine the design, document
Team
We combine more than ten years of experimental research experience with hands on laboratory building, scientific instrumentation, education, and open technology. Through Biotexturas, we are already developing TerraScope as an open tool for community

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
