About
The Anarchiving Game is a platform where people engage with digital fragments of a community's journey, creating a living catalog built on the Zora. Interaction with fragments allows participants to take part in a soulful asset formation experiment.
Impact
It transforms how communities reshape their collective memory. By enabling active participation, it fosters a shared sense of ownership and connection, challenging traditional forms of archiving. As it grows, it propagates value along the way.
Progress
Conceived during The Sphere's R&D phase (2020-2022), The Anarchiving Game got a grant from Serpentine Future Arts Ecosystem and RadicalXChange (Q12024). We soft-launched it while onboarding anarchivists and refining features (Q3 and Q4 2024).
Team
The Sphere is an emergent network of radical theorists, artists, and technologists exploring and developing new web3 ecologies of funding for the live arts. Our work resonates with creative communities, supported by a diverse network.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
