About
The Bed head is feature drama set in Jamaica about a pregnant wife and her helper, lives disrupted by the same man, and what each does next. Based on the book titled The Bed Head, written by J. Grahame. A story rooted in agency, power, and identity.
Impact
I believe this story will create necessary conversation around an unspoken truth, and the role women in power play. I want to change the conversation and redefine what female ally-ship looks like, and spotlight how colonialism is still alive.
Progress
I have raised some seed funding, I have secured head of dept for crew, and speaking with interested talent. There are some preproduction actions being taken.
Team
I am Jamaican born and raised, and I believe women need to become more aware of care workers and how our biases shape the relationship. My perspective is truly uncommon as I want to challenge how we normalize trauma.
