About
I am building a small wood fired sauna on a trailer that can travel to different local spaces and bring people together. The idea is simple. A warm place to meet your neighbours, have a chat, relax and enjoy some time away from everyday life.
Impact
I want to help people spend more time together in the real world with zero digital distractions! The winter can be particularly hard here and shared sauna space is a great excuse to the leave the house, meet others and enjoy being outdoors.
Progress
The trailer itself has been obtained and reconditioned to a strong standard for sauna use and outdoor longevity. The Larch floor is down and the stud walls have been erected. The next step is the roof then I am straight into insulation and cladding.
Team
As a local carpenter and joiner I have the skills to design and build the sauna myself. Much thought has gone into the design, layout and material choice. i want to do the work myself to keep costs down and put the funding directly into the project
