About
We collect plastic bottles, worn-out shoes, bags and textiles in Nigeria and turn them into handmade bags, shoes, brooms and educative games. We create jobs, reduce waste and prove that trash can become value.
Impact
Uptex diverts plastic bottles, worn-out shoes, bags and textiles from landfills and oceans into market-ready products. We create dignified jobs for women and youth, reduce pollution, and show communities that waste can become wealth and opportunity.
Progress
We have collected waste, crafted handmade products, trained and generated income for local artisans, launched sales of upcycled shoes, bags, earrings, games. Next step is bigger workspace and equipment to create more jobs and reduce more waste.

I am a revamp specialist, trainer and community builder. I live this problem and i understand our waste challenges and my people. I have piloted UPTEX from idea to product, and I am committed to scaling it with purpose
