The Nouns Africa Fund for IRL Education & Ecosystem Building supports projects emerging from Africa’s growing Nouns ecosystem—spanning education, community building, public goods, and onchain culture. While education remains central, this fund welcomes in-person initiatives that onboard new participants, strengthen local capacity, and grow onchain culture through real-world engagement. Curated projects that successfully raise at least $100 for their IRL initiative will receive one Nouns DAO Africa NFT at the end of the season, recognizing their contribution to education, creativity, and ecosystem growth across the continent. Led by Nouns DAO Africa, this fund reflects deep, on-the-ground experience supporting builders and communities across Africa.

Eligibility
This fund is open to Africa-based projects contributing to the Nouns Africa ecosystem, with a strong preference for initiatives that include in-person (IRL) components and educational or onboarding impact. Projects should be locally grounded, feasible to execute, and aligned with open, public-good values. In addition to funding eligibility, projects may earn ecosystem recognition through onchain participation. To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements: - Be led by Africa-based builders, educators, creatives, or collectives active in the Nouns Africa ecosystem - Deliver in-person (IRL) programming or experiences within Africa - Contribute to education, onboarding, public goods, or onchain culture (e.g. workshops, meetups, curriculum, community programs, tools, or cultural initiatives) - Clearly define goals, target audience, location(s), and execution plan - Set a realistic funding goal tied directly to IRL costs (venue, materials, logistics, coordination) - Raise a minimum of $100 through their IRL project to qualify for end-of-season NFT recognition - Commit to basic documentation and reporting (photos, summaries, outcomes) - Join the Nouns DAO Africa Discord to share updates with the community: https://linktr.ee/nounsdaoafrica - Align with open, inclusive, and public-good values of the Nouns ecosystem
