About

We are building a community media for young people in West Africa. Young people share stories about their problems and solutions. A group chosen by the community decides together what to publish and how to share resources.

Impact

This project gives young people a voice and a role in real decisions. It helps communities share local problems and solutions, learn to decide together, and build trust. By governing a media collectively, we strengthen youth leadership.

Progress

We have built an active community, defined our media vision, and launched a Substack as our publishing platform. We have tested community discussions, selected early contributors, and designed a collective editorial process.

Team

We are Habitants d’Internet, a community with experience connecting and empowering young people across West Africa. We have run debates, collaborative projects, and tested community-led decision making.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
