About
A small solar-powered glider that soars above Earth for months, or even years, capturing high-resolution maps and environmental data autonomously, guided by the sun.
Impact
ARIEN is a solar-powered stratospheric glider that provides continuous, high-resolution Earth mapping and environmental data, acting as a low-cost personal satellite for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
Progress
We have designed a concept for a 10-20 kg stratospheric glider with inflatable wings and lightweight solar panels. Simulations indicate it can stay aloft for months, capture imagery, and operate fully autonomously.
Team
I am a software engineer with experience in electronics and hobbyist UAV projects. I understand sensors, control systems, and energy management, and I’m motivated to turn this solar-powered glider concept into a working prototype.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
