About
We are building large drones that run on fuel, not just batteries. With batteries, drones have low payloads, short flight times, and you have to charge them! Our vehicles run off of fuel using a hybrid powertrain. Kind of like a flying Prius!
Impact
Farmers need tools that allow them to protect their crops while also limiting their usage of crops. Drones could be incredible for this work but electric drones aren't big enough to cover meaningful acres. We want to maximize clean food production!
Progress
Build multiple vehicles starting with a completely 3D printed drones (bad idea) and progressed to larger and larger vehicles. Once I knew we'd need a new powertrain, I built a 10kw hybrid powertrain to prove the architecture.
Team
I grew up in an agricultural town in northern Indiana so farmers have always been my neighbors. I went to school and studied Computer science with the intent that I'd work on technologies that could make it back to a place like where I grew up.
