About
I’m making an open-source smart scope that uses sensors and ML to map, detect, and learn. It includes a simple model-zoo so users can record and label data to train custom models (hunting). V2 will add SLAM mapping for mapping buildings. 3D2A release
Impact
Its going to be Badass. By being fully open source, this project gives the 3D2A community a new tool for outdoor use, hunting, and self-defense training. Its going to be fully module, low-cost, and open source. Giving the power back to the people
Progress
I’ve built a functional v0 design running multiple real-time models, including pose estimation, object detection, and edge detection. Core sensors work, SLAM planning has begun, and the open model-zoo workflow is already prototyped.
Team
I started in coastal engineering, building low-cost embedded sensors, and now work in robotics creating smart ML systems, and building coastal robotics. I work at the intersection of design, ML, robotics, and coastal science.
