About
I'm making a drone that flies itself above power lines looking for problems that cause the lights to go off.
Impact
Proactive maintenance with drones in difficult terrain reduces risky manual inspections and keeps power infrastructure running smoothly. By detecting power grid faults early, this project helps prevent blackouts that disrupt entire communities.
Progress
For my final year project I built and flew a working prototype. The fixed wing drone was capable of autonomous flights and power grid inspections. I documented the project here: https://delightful-sky-009f3390f.4.azurestaticapps.net/
Team
I’m a final-year electronics engineering student and have previously worked on power grid infrastructure across 3 African countries through internships. I also built a prototype grid inspection drone as my senior year project.

The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
