About
We are making an illustrated children’s book using microscopic images of the oldest life on Earth. It shows that stromatolites are alive, not rocks We want to print a free book for every child in Bacalar to teach families how to protect their lagoon.
Impact
By inspiring empathy for microorganisms, this project shifts how people perceive life itself, and fundamentally changes how they interact with the earth. Understanding stromatolites at a microscopic level inspires deeper respect for all ecosystems.
Progress
I’ve presented across Bacalar, including at the UN Reef Protection Conference and the Peace Conference with community leaders, politicians, Mayan elders. I also lecture in local schools and have seen real increases in awareness and community action.
Team
I’m a microbiologist, Dive master, and visual storyteller using microscopy and subaquatic imagery to make invisible life visible. I bridge science, art, and community trust—connecting children, elders, and leaders to protect the oldest living being.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
