About
I am making a living exhibition where sound turns into light. Tiny living algae glow when sound moves the water. It helps people notice how sound touches life beyond what we usually see.
Impact
This project highlights the beauty and sensitivity of bioluminescent microbial life. These ephemeral light responses are preserved as visual cultural artifacts, helping people see and value life beyond the human scale.
Progress
Materials have been sourced for a first working, exhibition-ready prototype. Cultivation tests with bioluminescent dinoflagellates achieved healthy, dense cultures and strong light responses. The installation is now being assembled and tested.
Team
I am a PhD student in microalgae biotechnology with practical experience working with living systems. My prototyping skills, combined with a strong interest in art and music, uniquely position me to create this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
