About
Misión Boyado is a community-driven movement protecting Bacalar Lagoon, its mangroves, animals, and stromatolites. We teach people to enjoy it safely, care for it long-term, and now work with somatic facilitators to support connect with the water.
Impact
Protecting Bacalar means protecting a living archive of life itself; is one of the most important freshwater ecosystems on Earth, hosts stromatolites, the oldest living organisms on the planet and the first producers of oxygen. Is a global matter

-Active since 2018 -Protecting 6,000+ meters (19,685+ ft) of the lagoon -25+ completed mission of protection -Organized 25 volunteers in 5 logistics groups 50+ regular local supporters -Now collaborating with Somatic facilitators in the water
Team
We are 5 committed working groups with a total 25 local people coholding the movement + all the people that get united to the action calls. We are all volunteers moved by the love towards the lagoon and her ecosystem.
