About
SaferGun is the radical invention of a new category - robot handguns. The majority of gun deaths are suicide. SaferGun will prevent that, saving over 27,000 lives a year - while also being easier to use and more effective than legacy firearms
Impact
We will save lives with Facial ID to prevent self harm and friendly fire, making guns safer and democratized with less training to use. Suicide is the leading cause of death for people under 45 in the US, besides accidents.
Progress
I am on my second complete version of my prototype, and I started work this year (2025.) I am working on a shoestring budget but have made substantial progress
Team
I have built robots for the past few years, and my time before that I worked as a software engineer with a focus on computer vision at scale
