Seeking learning communities, free learning centers, and facilitators building regenerative, learner-centered spaces where a culture of peace takes root.
The Agile Fund for Regenerative Learning Communities supports community-based free learning centers and the projects growing around them: spaces where learning is natural, learners of all ages set the pace, and culture is built before curriculum. The fund grows out of a decade of work by Edgar Gainko, co-founder of Educambiando, the first agile learning community in Mexico and Latin America, whose model has spread into a network of nearly one hundred facilitators and centers across Querétaro, Veracruz, Chiapas, Mexico City, Oaxaca, and the Yucatán Peninsula, and onward into Colombia and Chile. What began with children has become something wider: body-based learning, arts and music spaces, and territorial education programs like the consciousness campaigns protecting the Bacalar lagoon. The fund champions the shift from teacher-centered to partnership-based learning, where adults walk alongside learners and communities regenerate themselves from the inside out.
We support learning communities, free learning centers, facilitators, and educators creating regenerative, learner-centered alternatives, from neighborhood learning spaces to territorial education campaigns.
