About
Rasureitor is an artistic, political, and bodily project that takes shape through a mobile barbershop traveling across territories and borders, listening to stories, transforming bodies, and restoring dignity through a hair-clipping machine.
Impact
Rasureitor contributes to diaspora and migrant movements—particularly those facing physical and symbolic borders in Europe—by giving visibility to historically excluded communities and telling their stories from the barber’s chair.
Progress
In 2024, this concept materialized as the documentary series “Rasureitor: Dissident Barbershop” in vulnerable areas of Bogotá, Colombia. We are now expanding the project to territories marked by high migration flows. We got a writing grant.
Team
Because my practice is feminist and human-centered, it is rooted in intersectionality and addresses invisible urgencies: barbershops as political refuges, queer migration, displaced bodies, and everyday forms of resistance for more than 13 years.
