Funding projects where innovative sound & art meets brain boosting, stress clearing and deeper community connection.
The Music + Healing Fund supports visionary creators (anywhere around the planet) using sound with live events or immersive experiences as a catalyst for collective well-being and creativity boosting.
From immersive sound baths to experimental wellness events, "nap concerts", and ... we back innovative projects that work to expand empathy and emotional resonance with a focus on live music and mental health.
We are in the middle of a mental health crisis in the USA and many other countries across the world. Combining that with the pre-existing loneliness epidemic, aging populations, and the growing lack of "third spaces" to experience live music or sound in a calm atmosphere, the result is a lot of unreleased stress. This is having a huge impact on mental health, body health, mood, decision making, and relationships.
This fund is open to all who explore the intersection of healing, sonic experience, and community transformation.
Think unusual concerts or sound baths, with innovative and immersive elements that help people clear stress and really feel good in their brain and body.
Use of technology is welcomed (think projections on the wall or ceiling), but also old-school methods are encouraged (circle post event to talk, journaling, "release a fear" station", mini breath work, shake it out, movement, etc.). Guided meditation with sound bath & movement practice?
What is your innovative idea to help clear stress, boost creativity, and improve mental health?

Eligibility
We support any creative project around the globe that uses music to foster healing, mental wellness, or communal connection. If your project is in Seattle or you tour to Washington, we also have nonprofit venues you can present your music at if selected (for 40-100 people, or sometimes larger 260-1000 person spaces). Projects may range from performances and installations to digital tools and immersive experiences such as meditations or new creative experiences. To maximize accessibility and discover emerging talent, this fund has no geographic limitations but is primarily focused on events in real life. To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements: - Use sound or music as a central medium to support mental health or emotional well-being. - Foster community connection through shared listening, performance, or participatory elements in a group setting. - Document the innovative sound experiences and share with the wider world.
