About
This project is a narrative feature film called Wishing on Stars, which is a sapphic rom-com about two former high school best friends and crushes who reconnect in Seattle and, ultimately, fall in love after 10 years apart.
Impact
There is a lack of sapphic rom-coms films and stories in general. This is a story for queer people and women, but I hope to show all a world full of queer joy and happiness, and give the audience a story that is so rarely shown in the mainstream.
Progress
We produced a prequel short film to the feature to show the sweetness and wholesomeness of this story that we strive to create again in the feature film. We've won awards for both the script and short and have begun funding for the feature.
Team
I have several years of experience writing and directing short films with a STEM background that ensures production is organized and successful. We also have a clear POV of the look and sound. And more than anything, this story is my baby.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
