The ArtTech Fund for Civilizational Retelling supports visionary creators who use immersive technologies to revive local cultures, folklore, and ancient knowledge systems for modern audiences. From VR time-travel experiences to gamified traditional board games and experimental music rooted in heritage, this Fund accelerates a cultural renaissance across the Global South—empowering communities to tell their stories in their own voice and reawaken shared human consciousness.

Eligibility

This Fund is designed for experienced animation designers, 3D artists, immersive technologists, filmmakers, musicians, and cultural storytellers building projects at the intersection of heritage and technology. We prioritize bold, emotionally resonant works that make ancient wisdom accessible and relevant to Gen Z and global audiences through immersive formats.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Immersive Technology Focus: Must incorporate VR, AR, spatial computing, 3D environments, projection mapping, or interactive digital storytelling.
- Cultural Rootedness: Project must center on local cultures, folklore, indigenous knowledge systems, traditional games, regional histories, or ancestral practices.
- Original Narrative Voice: Stories must be told authentically, ideally by creators embedded within or deeply connected to the culture represented.
- Creative Excellence: Led by experienced animation designers, 3D artists, cinematographers, immersive developers, musicians, or interdisciplinary teams.
- Intergenerational Impact: Must demonstrate clear potential to engage younger audiences while preserving cultural integrity.
- Feasibility & Execution Plan: Clear production roadmap, capable team, and realistic timeline for delivery.
- Ethical Representation: Projects must respect cultural sensitivities and, where applicable, include collaboration or consent from represented communities.
- Artifact-Ready: Must include a compelling cultural Artifact suitable for Artizen’s platform to unlock match funding.
