About
We fix old empty houses and turn them into places where people can live, make art, learn, and help each other.
Impact
We revitalize rural communities through housing reuse and shared stewardship, producing open frameworks that other countries can adapt to similar decline. We salvage items, create public + educational art installations, and host artists while at it
Progress
In 2024, we purchased our first community home (owned, operated, and governed by the collective NPO). Within a year, we have already helped find permanent stewards for 5 neighboring houses, hosted residencies / build weeks, and local community events
Team
I founded this initiative + grew this community to 1,000+ members internationally. I’ve ran 12+ months of residencies, helped others purchase akiyas, open-sourced all research, and created an environment that supports artistic creation and community.

The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
