About
HipHop Africa is building the first continent-wide infrastructure for African hip-hop artists. From radio to festivals to awards. We're solving a simple problem: talented African rappers have no unified platform for recognition & distribution
Impact
African hip-hop is fragmented. Nigerian artists compete in Headies. South Africans in Metro FM Awards. But where's the Pan-African recognition? Where do Rwandan rappers, Ghanaian MCs, and Kenyan artists get continental visibility? Nowhere. Until now
Progress
Maiden edition of Hiphop Africa fest in 2024, Hiphop Africa Radio launched (Available on iOS & Android) Already hit 20k Monthly Listeners. Independence Block Party Accra March 2026
Team
This project is the culmination of years of work, relationships, and learning. more than a media platform; it is a cultural infrastructure that supports discovery, collaboration, storytelling, education, & economic opportunity for African creatives.
