About
I'm making a documentary about Isolde, a 75-year-old woman who refuses to let illness define her. After living with breast cancer for almost 30 years, she challenges what society expects from women, aging and living with illness.
Impact
Most cancer stories are about fighting. ISOLDE offers a different perspective: acceptance, freedom, and self-determination. Blending documentary, archives, and AI-assisted visuals, it explores memory, identity, and the art of living.
Progress
The film is already 75–80% shot. It won the Best Pitch Award at the Golden Tree Documentary Festival in Paris. We recently uncovered rare TV archives from the 1980s and 1990s that add a powerful new layer to Isolde's story.
Team
As a Mexican-German filmmaker, I connected deeply with Isolde’s view of life and mortality. After two years of filming and building trust, I have rare access to a story that challenges how we think about aging, illness and freedom.
