About
A place where neighbours who each own a small plot decide together to care for their shared wetland instead of selling it off. We heal one broken bond at a time — people to water, people to waste — until caring becomes how the whole valley is run.
Impact
It shows a crowded African city can re-common land without taking it from families, bringing a dying wetland come back to life while people earn from restoring it. Every fragmented city that has paved its rivers could find its way back this way.
Progress
Thirty months of listening. 92% of 40 landowners said yes to stewarding land together. On 6 April, 27 of them made their first collective decision with the wetland and future generations in the room, choosing waste as the first relation to heal.
Team
I grew up in Kiwaatule. RDI is Ugandan-owned, rooted here, not a model flown in. We've spent 3 years walking these neighbourhoods, dissolving fears, building trust, re-rooting all this Buganda's own land wisdom, Obutaka, as a living governance tool.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
