About
I am working on a fully equipped experimental design studio where fashion and art enthusiasts who don’t have the liberty of going through formal education can nurture their ideas and hone in their creativity, skills and craft.
Impact
The studio will serve as an incubator for nurturing design and art talents which will in turn provide hope for African kids who can’t afford formal education to follow their creative paths
Progress
I have built a Streetwear brand called Lab Rats to promote the idea of the studio while I raise the funds for a physical studio space. I currently run the brand from my living room. I work with local tailors and seamstresses to create pieces.
Team
I discovered myself and purpose when I enrolled in fashion school but I almost lost all of it when I had to drop out after 2 of 4 years because we could no longer afford the fees. The studio is my way of showing up for people like me.
