About
I am writing a new chamber orchestra piece. We will premiere it in a concert. The concert raises money and awareness for cleanups at Escobilla Sanctuary that remove plastic and agroindustrial waste.
Impact
Escobilla is one of the worlds most important nesting beaches for olive ridley sea turtles. Cleanups remove plastic before it harms turtles and turns into microplastics. Our concerts spread the message and fund more removals. 1 ton removed already.
Progress
Cleanups have already started. We removed 1 ton of plastic from Escobilla and nearby areas. I have photos and records. I have started the music sketches and I have local partners ready for more cleanup days.
Team
I am a composer trained at Amsterdam Conservatory and IRCAM. I live on the Oaxaca coast near Escobilla, so I can write the score and help organize cleanups with local partners.
