About
The worlds first carbon sequestering bucket hat with a hole so your bun pokes through. Glorious. Made from upcycled ocean fishing nets. No bun? No problem - Your head's full of vitamin D receptors, and a halo tan-line only makes you holier :)
Impact
Fishing nets are ~46% of ocean plastic by weight. Return to Vendor (RTV) turns them into infinitely-recyclable, PFAS-free nylon at ~70% lower CO2 than virgin. HolyHats make that tangible and wearable for the village — circular materials you can wear.
Progress
Hand-made prototypes done; Working directly w/ the RTV team (More: https://thirdsphere.substack.com/p/why-we-invested-in-return-to-vendor) confirmed design is manufacturable in their fabric — HolyHats will be the first DTC product made from RTV fiber
Team
Climate investor at Third Sphere and a compulsive maker who hand-makes hats. Sitting where craft, circular materials, and community meet — working with the RTV team to bring HolyHats to life at Edge. more here: https://mielamayer.github.io/holyhats/
