About
Protecting sharks by collecting ocean data. We are a group of marine biologist ocean guardians. For two years, we have been monitoring the sharks living in Chinchorro in Mexico.
Impact
Sharks are an important indicator of health of the reef. By collecting data we will help to inform decisions for ocean conservation around the world.
Progress
We are the only group of women marine biologists that have been monitoring sharks species in Chinchorro for 2 years. This information will be shared with ocean conservacy projects and used to publish science papers.
Team
We are a group led by female marine biologist scuba divers. Our leader is a doctor of science with 15 years of experience in photo identification, characterization, and genetics of sharks.
