About
Connecting communities along the path Water travels: healing from mountains, forests and farms, rivers, wetlands, lakes and rivers to the ocean. Local WCRC centers will bring people together to learn skills for restoring land, and caring for water.
Impact
Healthy ridge to reef watersheds mean cleaner water, stronger soils, more wildlife, safer farms and communities prepared for droughts and floods. The project will also create new ethical livelihood opportunities for farmers, women and young people.
Progress
WUN has already built a bioregional network of partners and practitioners in East Africa. The R2R-Africa framework now includes five target countries, planned WCRC hubs and Water Champions, a MRV data system, and an Artizen Artifact strategy.
Team
Léonce Cibadere leads WaterUnity Networks operations in East & Central Africa, working through a network of communities, practitioners and partners. WUN brings together watershed restoration, local leadership, science, data and storytelling.
