About
We are seeding five neighborhood pools around a shared watershed hub in Kenya. Neighbors exchange clear promises for food, farm work, water care, tools, and cash. Repayment and reuse let one grant support many rounds of local work.
Impact
Most grants stop when the money is spent. Ours becomes shared liquidity that can be lent, repaid, swapped, and reused. More than 100 neighbors can restore soil and water, grow food, strengthen care, and finance the next round of work.
Progress
For three years, Mnyumbuni has grown as a living watershed school. Its hub and five linked community pools have recorded 164 pool-token memberships, 1,419 swaps, 1,177 deposits, and 591 report links.
Team
Our Kenya-based team has spent 16 years building community currencies, Sarafu Network, and commitment pools with local stewards. We live and work in Takaungu and already have the site, groups, software, and evidence to deliver.
