About
I want to combine Internet of Things technology, my Native American culture, and passion for BMX to create a body of interactive artwork. The showcase will be open to the public and documented for future viewing online.
Impact
This innovative artwork will represent and express the emotions and perspectives of the Native American community. By continuing the Tread Lightly series I will add more Indigenous designs and motifs to bring knowledge and awareness.
Progress
So far I have taken an intensive 10-week rapid prototyping course locally, and created my first example of IoT artwork using LED lights, C++ coding, and PIR infrared sensor. Originally using my drawing skills to translate into laser engraved images.
Team
Similarly to my upbringing and life story, my artwork is an interwoven narrative and reflection of both Native American identity and culture mixed with contemporary references. Mixing the traditional elements with technology and modern application.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
