About
This season Zaid Hilal aims to record 10 stories with three elderly masters in Bethlehem whose voices have never been recorded before. Public Workshops will be offered and Recordings released as physical album & archived for the next generations
Impact
Our archives are at risk. We will share the voices and stories of our elders & a majority of the funds to the individual communities, either for covering costs of living or helping them set up teaching circles.
Progress
Amidst the ongoing genocide, we recorded six of Zaid Hilals songs with elders and your orchestra which we released online & as CDs. Now we want the old masters to share their own stories, teachings and archive them for the next generations.
Team
The project is led by Zaid Hilal who was born and raised in Bethlehem. A musician, producer and teacher for 20 years, he will be able to assist the elders in composing the songs and setting up workshops to share their knowledge with the community.
