About
POTS is a condition that affects 1 in 100 people and is comparable to congestive heart failure. There is no cure, cause, or good treatments. This project collects its research into an open database & chat for researchers and patients to find answers.
Impact
This project will unlock new discoveries, better future research directions, and increased quality of life for millions of people with POTS. POTS is serves as an example of this system that can be duplicated to help any complex medical condition.
Progress
I have identified 14,263 papers on POTS and overlapping conditions. I have processed 3,121 of those ~14,263 papers. I extracted 36,459 findings so far into a searchable index. Current state can be found at: https://pots.erinmagennis.com

I was diagnosed with POTS when I was 14. I've previously done research on POTS. I've been in DeSci for 6 years. I'm already 21% through processing the papers. I can distribute it directly to researchers and patients for real world impact.
