About
We are buying and restoring abandoned homes in Japan to revitalize rural areas with art residencies, popup cities, unconferences, and raves. We build community infrastructure like venues, hacker houses, and coliving spaces.
Impact
Japan’s critical “Akiya crisis” where 8 million homes (15% of total housing) lay abandoned. This is projected to reach 33% by 2030! We buy these abandoned properties and transform them into vibrant hubs of art, innovation, and sustainable living.

We have already bought 4 homes within a 5 minute walk of each other. We have made great connections with the local Japanese for business and government partnerships. We are currently negotiating to buy a school from the city and an old hospital after

I speak Japanese, have lived in Japan for nearly 3% of my life including WWOOFing on farms, based in Osaka in 20129, and have participated in coliving communities around the world looking for new hubs outside US/EU.
