Hands-on program for ambitious Kenyans and diaspora to work with top 1% bizi
Tags: African Innovation africaLive Players shape the world. We find ambitious people at critical life decision points--after college or at a career change--to join a top 1% startup in Kenya for 4 months. Fellows do hands-on ops, live together and study African Futurism.
Default career paths like NGOs, investment banking or PhDs stifle the potential of high agency people. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs create every product/service we enjoy. We will reallocate talent to SMEs, the most energizing and productive activities.
Operations are underway with $15,000 secured ($10k Zanzalu, $5k Kuzana). This infrastructure manages our capital recycling process, where successful founders voluntarily repay their grants over 3–7 years to fund future cohorts.
In 2011, a small grant brought me (Kyle) to Kenya to research biofuels. That became Takamoto Biogas, raising $20M. I know firsthand how a small nudge can change a career.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
